Meeting James

We originally met when we were in our teens and dated for a while. James 'chucked' me.....TWICE (of course I don't hold grudges!!) and we lost touch for a while (16 years in fact) with one visit from James shortly after my accident as his Mum had read about it in the newspaper..........

In May 2004, I was studying for an exam and the phone rang. I answered it and the man on the other end of the line said "You don't know who this is do you?" Well, no I did not and i was stumped. He told me who he was and over an hour later I hung up the phone! We agreed that it would be nice to hook up sometime and after a few phonecalls, we eventually got round to it in the September.

We went out for a meal and had a lovely time reminiscing and catching up with our news from the last few years......I can honestly say that at no point during that evening did I contemplate the possibility of romance as, as far as I was concerned, we were just 'catching up'.

We spoke a few times on the phone and eventually went out again in October. For some reason I saw James in a different light and, as they say, the rest is history!
